Artist Statement
My primary art is photography, but you wouldn’t know it just by looking at it. There are a multitude of images, mostly not recognizable, but my intent is to exploit a variety of photosensitive materials. My work presents various concerns: earth, water, fire, the human condition, global warming, seasonal change and the environment. As a response to these global issues I echo these concerns by layering, tearing, burning and adding wax to a collection of recycled images that can be described as having endured a level of “creative violence” that reveal a rich patina.
